PRiME 7th Annual Symposium: A Global Community Accelerating Innovation

On February 20, 2026, PRiME welcomed nearly 200 trainees, faculty, industry experts, and researchers from across the globe to the PRiME 7th Annual Symposium, which took place at the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Toronto. This year’s theme highlighted transformative technologies reshaping drug screening, diagnostics, and therapeutic development.

Lisa Dolovich, Professor and Dean, Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Toronto, gave opening remarks along with PRiME leadership Molly Shoichet and Akshita Vincent, highlighting PRiME's vision of connecting global hubs and scientists to deliver precision medicine and building a platform for innovation and entrepreneurship.

The program continued with our electrifying Industry Panel: Spotlight on innovation: Steering next-generation platforms from concept to clinic, featuring panelists Philip Kim, Jennifer Moody, Julie Audet, Matteo Aldeghi, and Chadwick King, and moderated by Leah Cowen, Vice-President, Research and Innovation, and Strategic Initiatives, University of Toronto.

Following the industry panel, Leah Cowen concluded the PRiME 7th Annual Symposium with closing remarks, celebrating the global community of innovators PRiME has brought together, underscoring the critical importance of collaboration across academia, industry, health systems, and government to address complex health challenges
