The PRiME PhD and Postdoctoral Exchange Program
This program will provide trainee (graduate students and PDFs) exchange opportunities in specific research labs of partner institutions to allow hands on acquiring of training in specialized technologies. This will allow for transfer of new knowledge and know-how to the University from others. Similarly, we will share the unique offerings of PRiME’s technology core to our partners and allow them to tour these facilities while on their visits to the University in order to determine which they may wish to access for their own institutional gain.
Eligibility

Applicants are required to be either full-time Postdoctoral Fellows (with less than 4 years PDF training at the time of application) or senior Graduate Students (entering year 4 or 5 of the Ph.D.) at the University of Toronto.

The participating University of Toronto principal investigator (PIs) must have a faculty appointment and be a member of PRiME.

The partnering PI must have a faculty appointment in one of the four partnered institutions.

The proposed project must be…. It should also be evident the purpose of this exchange and how the selected partner lab and its technologies would measurably advance the progress of the project.

Program funding can be used only travel, accommodations, xxx up to a maximum expense of xxx. Any additional costs will be covered by the supervisors.

Submissions are limited to one candidate per PI lab.

Fellows who leave their positions for full-time employment or other educational opportunities during the award will no longer be eligible for the award and any remaining award funds will be returned to PRiME effective on their end date.

Successful applicants will be accepted to hand in a report of research outcomes upon return from the exchange.
